The Virtual Travel idea that my wife, Renee, and I had was entirely unexpected, yet made perfect sense due to our conditions. Those who are unable to travel freely will quickly understand this.
Yes, being able to travel virtually has existed for some time. I discuss this thought on the FAQ’s page of this website. Yet, I think it is worth repeating the following paragraph.
“However, if you think about people who are unable to physically travel (those in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice, 55+ communities, etc.), they typically would look at you cross-eyed if you suggested they go check out Paris on YouTube. I live with these lovely people and regularly receive this reaction.”
As well, people watching a video on YouTube haven’t considered that they are traveling virtually. Once this mindset changes, it opens up all kinds of possibilities.
Additionally, traveling virtually can (and should) be regularly experienced by everyone. I believe people will be pleasantly surprised and amazed at the various things to see in this world of ours.
For instance, did you know that, for many, Dubai is considered “the most luxurious city in the world.” (Check out the video titled “Dubai - The Most Luxurious City In The World” in the ‘Geography – Asia’ category and see if you agree.)
Be impressed by one woman's global Photoshop experiment whose video is titled “Beauty Standards Around The World.” Watch as the young lady in the video is made to look beautiful, depending on the 20+ countries that she is in. (Select this video in the ‘Cultures’ category.)
Were you aware that there is a river that splits into two, and no one knows where the one-half goes? Half of the water disappears into a large hole; try as they might, scientists have been unable to figure out where it goes. (See this in the ‘Special & Unique Category’ in the video titled, “10 Scientifically Impossible Places That Actually Exist.”)
I invite you to check out the above videos and the many others curated for this website. Also, be sure to see all of the many ways people are using FREETOGO at the bottom of the ‘Travel Now’ page.
Most importantly, help improve the quality of life of everyone. Please share this website far and wide, especially with anyone unable to travel freely. Sign up as a member, leave a testimonial, and visit the website regularly!
Get creative and have some fun traveling virtually. I look forward to the day when the term Virtual Travel will be as commonplace as the term travel.
Thank you.
